Background and Qualifications

Mr. Dennis Ochieng’ Nyawade is the Managing Partner at ONM Advocates. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from Moi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law. 

He has previously worked at J.W. Wambua & Advocates where he gained experience in conveyancing, real estate and commercial transactions.

Experience

Conveyancing law involves securing and protecting various rights on land investments. This includes effecting transfers of land/property, preparation of power of attorneys, leases and licenses processing, renewal and extension of leases, effecting change of user, creating easements, registration of caveats, cautions & prohibitions; paying & rectifying land rates and rent records; sub-division; and advisory on planning and financing of infrastructure projects.

Preparing documentation for various property acquisitions, disposals and developments; Reviewing and drafting variety of commercial agreements; banking documents and perfection of securities such as charges, mortgages, debentures and chattel mortgages;

Advising various clients on real estate transactions in connection with acquisition of land, land control requirements in respect of agricultural and/or commercial land, amalgamation of land, changes, property development, extensions of user and subdivision including obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities.
